Meg L. Burkardt is a third generation estate planning attorney. She began practicing law with her father, Robert F. Burkardt, in 1988. Over the years, she developed a general law practice with a focus on estate planning and administration.
With more than 30 years of experience, Meg is an expert at crafting estate plans that meet her clients’ needs. She understands the value of taking the time to get to know her clients so that she can tailor planning documents to meet their specific goals. Meg’s wealth of experience and straightforward, trustworthy approach quickly puts clients at ease.
Meg frequently speaks to groups and gives educational lectures covering basic estate planning concepts throughout the community. She is an active member of the Oakmont Chamber of Commerce, currently serving on the Board, and is the President of the Board of Directors for the Verona Oakmont Cemetery.
In 2019, the CFWW+G firm approached Meg to discuss developing and expanding their estate planning practice. Both CFWW+G and Meg were confident that a merger of their practices would be a great fit because Dwight Ferguson, a founding partner of CFWW+G, and Meg have been friends since they were classmates at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. In 2020, the firms officially merged, allowing both firms to better serve their clients by offering a much broader range of legal services at two convenient locations.
Meg is a lifelong Pittsburgher and the mom of five grown up and pretty terrific kids. She is currently residing in Oakmont where after business hours, you can find her at the Oaks Theater, taking tickets or selling popcorn.
